Titanium requires a lot of extra finishing work and machining time to get to the same product and we were running into issues with the Model B and early ideas of the C with Titanium. Once we switched to the 7075 Aluminum those issues were resolved and in theory made everything easier to produce more product. As time has gone on, we have experienced issues in the assembly and finishing process with the aluminum that put us right back where we were with timeline. So, Gavin decided to switch over to Titanium since we know how to resolve the issues with more efficiency. That doesn't mean that the aluminum C's that have gone out are bound to fail or anything, issues are resolved before they leave the shop, so I'm speaking strictly in house issues to get a final product completed. I hope this information helps!
